Enjoying cooler seasonal temperatures for long slow ripening, the grapes in this vineyard develop intense fruit flavours and aromas whilst retaining a foundation of refreshing crisp acidity . This wine was tank fermented to retain it's lively fresh characters and bottled in late July. The winemaking philosophy is very much hands-off, allowing natural fruit expression of the grapes and wine to flow forth. Bright in colour with a clear green pale lemon hue, this attractively scented wine exudes distinctive lychee, rose-petal and Turkish delight aromas with hints of lemon/lime, orange citrus and ginger notes. Delicious lychee, mandarin and orange flavours are immediately evident on the palate, along with hints of cloves. This is an elegant fruity wine, with lovely texture and weight, leading to a satisfyingly lengthy finish lingering with crisp acidity and a soft dry spicyness. |
